Irish Pub Night
Here is your opportunity to help raise money for an important cause while celebrating Irish heritage and culture during the Dublin Laurens St. Patrick’s festival. Christ Episcopal Church, along with Saltwater Fishery, is hosting Irish Pub NIght! At 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, on the Flybridge (the Saltwater Fishery rooftop) Harry O'Donoghue will perform Irish folksongs, adding in jokes and stories.
A master folksinger, storyteller and songwriter, Harry comes to us originally from Ireland and more recently Savannah. O’Donoghue hosts a weekly GPB radio program, The Green Island Radio Show. He has performed extensively throughout the United States and regularly on cruise ships and festivals throughout the country and Internationally. He will create a true Irish Pub experience right in our own town of Dublin — Georgia that is! Don't come unless you want to have a good time with singalongs, laughter and some true Irish culture.
Don't feel guilty about having a good time either! This event is a fundraiser for the Christ Episcopal Church Food Pantry. The Food Pantry serves over 100 families a month with good nutritious food. You will have an opportunity to support the pantry through event raffles, and Saltwater Fishery will offer special food and drink promotions. A portion of those sales will go toward the food pantry, thereby benefitting the Dublin Community.
There is no charge for the event, but donations and love offerings will gladly be accepted. Donations can also be made online here. The show runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 12. Come early to get a seat and be prepared to sing, celebrate and BE IRISH!
